PCjr floppy drive in newer PC
Hi all. Trying to create bootable media and transfer stuff to my PCjrs. So i built a Pentium PC (whose BIOS still allows selecting a 360K 5.25" drive) for this. It turns out that both 360k floppy drives I managed to find don't work. Can a PCjr floppy drive be installed in a PC as the B: drive t...

8087-2 (theoretically 8MHz) at $5.80 apiece and $2 combined shipping. Get 2 or 3, one of them is bound to work.

Re: File Maven like Norton Commander
Other alternative to Norton Commander:
Volkov Commander - written in assembly - extremely small & fast.
Dos Navigator - everything AND the kitchen sink - fully, maybe over-featured file manager.

Re: CHOICE.EXE or equivalent for DOS 5.02 (for building menus)
I remember using NDOS ( Norton-rebranded version of 4DOS ) replacement for COMMAND.COM - it allowed for some very nice menu systems.

Re: USB drive would be the holy grail
USB Stick ? That's a lot of work :) Now about directly from the network ? https://www.retrotronics.org/home-page/netpi-ide/ A USB stick is logically presented to the host as a SCSI device - so with the correct glue and a BIOS extension in place, it's do-able. And it already exists as a 8-Bit ISA Car...

Racore Expansion Chassis - pinout
I have found a PCJr expansion chassis at CR and two sidecar controller boards for it: One Racore branded, the other unbranded. I have a bunch of memory boards for them but i'm missing the power adapter board that came with the expansion chassis. Does anyone who owns such a thing cares to take a volt...
