Sidecar Connectors. Yes TYCO, but there was another?

Post by toddvernon »

Having just completed the PCjr parallel sidecar mode for an activity LED I noticed that there is (was?) more than one company or at versions of the sidecar connectors. I personally bought the TYCO connectors for other projects that are the same ones used on the jrIDE. The problem with those are the female side is easily damaged (ask me how I know). But the female connector on the parallel port side card is of a different type that is WAY more robust. I would love to know where to get that!

Todd..

for my version of the JR-IDE I use these...
I also 3D printed plates to press them together, which works very well...
is this the CONN you are asking about ?
