Installing a Mouse

Post by chuckphd53 »

There are many serial mice that are available for the JR.
Side cars that offer a serial mouse port, Microsoft PCjr Booster Module, which I had back in the day, and was lucky
to find another on ebay.... this was a nice mouse and had a steel roller ball.
MSPC paint worked well and you could spend hours many playing with the 4 color interface,
The Whales and The House were always my favorite..

But today I use a regular ball mouse 2 button MSMouse (see below) for Turbo Pascal 7 attached to the Rear serial port using mouse704 driver...
I do miss the scroll button as I reach for it from time to time
These are still available on EBAY for around $20 and work pretty good....

See the Serial Port forum for the serial cable I built for this mouse.

WinWorldPC has a wealth of software including the paint programs.
