PCjr floppy drive in newer PC

Post by psergiu »

Hi all.
Trying to create bootable media and transfer stuff to my PCjrs.
So i built a Pentium PC (whose BIOS still allows selecting a 360K 5.25" drive) for this.
It turns out that both 360k floppy drives I managed to find don't work.
Can a PCjr floppy drive be installed in a PC as the B: drive to a 3.5" 1.44MB A: ? Do i need to change any jumper settings ? (DS1 is jumpered by default)

Thanks !

Answer:
It works.
- Jumper has to be on DS1
- If the drive is in the middle of the cable ( B: or /dev/fd1 ) it works without a terminator
