WOW, just picked up a NEW in Box IBM 5153 color monitor, never used... $350
and best part it was Local so not worried about shipper damage...
Been looking for at least 3 yrs, this was a gem of a find.....
Will take,pics when I get it.

Wow, great find! I'd love to see a comparison between the 5153 and 4863 as I know the dot pitch is .31 vs .43 I think. It looks like the PC Jr monitor was very competitive with the Commodore monitors dot pitch wise for the next few years.

I bought a new 5153 with my New Eagle PC in '85...
From what I remember it had a little better resolution than the Jr monitor, but heck back then COLOR computing was phenomenal...
so I was not that critical...
I will get aroundto unvboxing someday, when time permits and will do a side by side comparison....
